Time in the consultation room
A rushed history is how diagnoses get missed. We keep the register small enough that a consultation can take as long as it needs to.
About us
Arimala Polyclinic & Pharma sits on Sturrock Road in Falnir, Mangaluru. The clinic works to a simple idea: most medical problems do not need a hospital, but they do deserve a senior doctor with time to listen.
Who we are
A polyclinic is a small clinic where several specialities share one address. Ours brings together consultant general medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, a laboratory collection point and a pharmacy — so a single visit can carry you from a symptom, through a diagnosis, to the medicine in your hand.
That matters most for the conditions people live with for years. Diabetes, blood pressure and thyroid disorders are not solved in one appointment; they are managed across dozens of them. Doing that well needs a doctor who remembers you, records that stay in one place, and a pharmacy that stocks what you were actually prescribed.
What we hold to
A rushed history is how diagnoses get missed. We keep the register small enough that a consultation can take as long as it needs to.
Continuity is a clinical tool, not a courtesy. The consultant who starts your treatment is the one who reviews and adjusts it.
Our clinical lead teaches and publishes in general medicine. Prescribing here follows current evidence — including restraint with antibiotics.
You are told the consultation fee before you sit down and the cost of a test before the sample is taken. No registration or file charges.
In the medical community
Our clinical lead, Dr. Shuaib Ahmed, is Associate Professor of General Medicine at K.S. Hegde Medical Academy, pictured here at a meeting of the Association of Physicians of India, Dakshina Kannada Chapter in Mangaluru.
Teaching keeps a physician honest. It means the medicine practised at this clinic is the same medicine being taught to the next generation of doctors in this city — and that difficult cases have a network of colleagues behind them.
Open Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 7:30 pm. No appointment needed.
